Assistant Buyer

Our client is an exciting and growing organisation who are now looking to recruit a Junior Buyer to join the team, this is a role that will offer training and development in a motivated and driven team.

Role details:

Assist the Head of Sourcing to find and develop competitive manufacturing

Work with NPD to assist in the development of new products

Supplier relationship management - Identify potential suitable new sources of supply and products

Attend range development meetings

Assist in the development and review of existing suppliers

Attend range development meetings

Act as key contact for information to support the selling process and the management of questions relating to products

Negotiations with existing vendors

Manage system requests and issues for all users of the Sourcing & Quality System

Person specification:

Ideally a graduate or equivalent

Background in sourcing but at Junior level with ideally skills within purchasing catering/ kitchen equipment or services

Drive and enthusiasm to learn and develop a procurement career

Outgoing individual who has strong interpersonal skills.
