Our client is a Global 500, $15Bn global manufacturing organisation.  Following a UK acquisition, they embarked on a large scale recruitment campaign to restructure their UK & European finance organisation, involving the creation of a new shared services centre serving the whole of Europe.

Following our pitch and tender we won the assignment on a retained sole basis.  The remit was to appoint up to 9 individuals across head office shared services and regional finance departments, in addition a headhunt campaign for two senior finance positions; Group Financial Director and Group Financial Controller. Timescales required completing the entire campaign within 6 weeks, utilising intensive pre-screening in the form of assessment center enabling every candidate to start on the same date so that the new finance department could be launched holistically!


Our proposal enabled a highly flexible approach due to the scale of the recruitment, and therefore centred on an extensive E-Advertising campaign, a major networking campaign across our own network as well as every key online UK candidate database.  We undertook a formal headhunting exercise for two senior roles into our client’s four main UK and European competitors.

Adding value to our proposal and delivery, we carried out extensive competitor analysis and advised the client on suitable salary ranges to attract competitor talent. A project team was assigned consisting of an Account Director an Account Manager, two Consultants and a Researcher. This team worked exclusively on the project for an initial period of four weeks followed by a further two weeks of project allocation on a case by case basis.


All 9 roles plus the 2 senior positions were successfully filled within the 6 week timescale. Furthermore, we coached candidates to reduce their notice periods to enable all but one to start on the same day as per our client’s original brief. The result of this campaign led to being exclusively retained by this client on all UK & European finance roles.
